As I said, it was really hot out and the heat index was over 100, but I really needed to get out and about and get a few things done. I went out to Lowe's and got some light bulbs, but forgot to look at paneling. Dumb me.
My gas tank is about empty and the price of gas went up again. It is all about profiteering by the international and national oil gangsters. We have oil and plenty of it. There are a lot of local pumps that have been shut down and are not producing. Obama says he wants to make jobs? Well, kick the big oil conglomerates in their oil cans. Bring the price of oil down so that people can drive and go back to work.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a little cooler. I need to go to the store and get milk. I can get a 1/2 gallon of milk for $1.50 and a filled stamp card. I'll get two half gallons; one to use and one for the freezer. That will use up my cards, too.
I have been playing some CDs, but two are damaged. No, I didn't do it. People abuse the library materials. I will separate them when I take them back and tell them that they are damaged.
Beverly, I got the recipe for the tomato pie. I will pick a cooler day to make them.
As you can see...and are probably glad of...I am not in a heavy thinker mode. My thinker is broke. But not to worry! I will "gladden your hearts" another time!

Greetings Mabel,
The move is coming to an end this weekend and I am grateful. Today I have a few smaller boxes to pack and clean out the fridge. Tomorrow a couple of guys are coming to move my furniture to storage. Saturday I will clean the house and turn the keys in, I am done!! Praise the Lord!!
Frank left Tuesday morning and soon will be nothing but a bad memory that will fade away in a hurry.
It was really hot and humid here yesterday too. Glad I got things done early in the morning. Today is much cooler and I am grateful. It is good to be finally getting settled. Won't take long to get back to a regular routine again.
Sure have missed reading your posts daily and writing my own.
I have a ton of roma tomatoes from the garden in the freezer to make sauce with when I am settled and the weather has cooled off some. And boy have we been eating the Celebrities on sandwiches and in salads. I have a mess of cucs to pickle up too. Next week I will go dig potatoes as I have just not had the time.
Have a great day!
Love, Alice
