RAIN

WE HAD RA!N...real rain. We had thunder, lightning and real moisture falling from the skies. We had about 1 inch of nature's own elixir medicating the parched soil...yes, we did! I hope this will be the end of the 2010 drought of Kentucky.
I went to the store for Halloween candy. The price for candy has really jumped. If the kids don't come by I know it won't go to waste...well, maybe..to the waist(line).
I stopped by the Golden Corral and had supper there(no dishes to wash). A lot of older people eat there. I suppose they can get a pretty good, balanced meal at least once a day. I just don't know why their chicken taste so much better than mine does!
Along with the rain comes a painful arm. I won't complain as we really, really needed the rain and more of it. I can take something for the discomfort, whereas I just can't make it rain.
I don't think I will be going anywhere tomorrow. I will get my cloths ready for the big dinner on Saturday. I will take my little camera with me.
My TV will need replacement in the future. We had a power surge that "burned out" the top of the picture tube to some extent. I don't know why we have so many of these surges. Then the city "vents" natural gas into the air, turns around and doubles the rate on natural gas and triples the rates on electric. How clever is that? Can't they find a way to store the gas and sell off some of the power? Huh?
What else is new? My little laptop may be in need of some minor work. The letter "D" wants to stick or not strike at first. And of course, there is never enough money in the Reign of Obama and looks like there will be even less in the future. There you have it: a day of rain, arm pain and Obama fame.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord
to sing praises to your name, Most High
to proclaim your kindness at dawn
and your faithfulness throughout the night.
Psalm 91, first verse.

Rain

It rained this afternoon. Imagine that. Actually we need the rain. The ground is getting pretty dry. However, it may mean that my garden does not get tilled up this week-end. It didn't rain much, so maybe I can do a little bit more myself. I am behind in my plans to get a garden going.
The rhubarb plant is a about five feet tall. I have never seen one this big. It makes a really nice yard plant just as it is.
There isn't much to post about unless you want to discuss The President making fun of the Tea Party rallies.. It won't be so funny when all the big spenders get voted out of office in November. Bye Bye Budget Busters.
Now the politicians are trying to make out that Tea Party members are going to spark violence. Well, most of us are too old to get too feisty and the young Americans are not aware of what they have lost. Stuff ISN'T getting better. The media is keeping Americans sedated and stupid. The Man of Spam is telling us that middle class Americans should be "thankful" for the Demo-litions and Repu-gnaces for robbing the middle class to give to the rich. HE says the middle class got all kinds of tax reductions and perks. Well-the middle class can't pay taxes if he/she doesn't have a job. No job...no money...no taxes. Even an economic dolt can figure that out.
There are over 80.000 troops trained for "domestic violence," but we can not put troops on our boarders. Main stream media is now reporting very quietly about theses troops and how the may be used in the Nove. elections. One blogger goes as far as saying that fall elections could be "suspended." Another blogger says the Constitution could be "suspended." I don't know about that, in either case. I know that if THE FEDERALIZES ever did try that, it would bring all us old ladies out into the streets with our broom sticks and umbrellas. Yes! Never tempt an elderly person with gray hair and a set of dentures! We will come out and bite the h***l outta ya!!

RAIN

It has rained all night and for a good part of the day. Tomorrow it is supposed to be a decent day, but the rain will be back for the rest of the week. I wasn't going to go out today, but I really needed a trip to the beauty shoppe as my hair was really getting ratty looking. So, I mustered up the courage to brave the rain and get it done. I can't do a lot about my hair anymore so I pay the price to look decent..or neat.

All the news channels are proclaiming that April 1st will be "worm day." They say that not much is known about this new invasive worm, but it could take over your computer and/or cause unknown damages. Well, why not? If the gov. can take over our daily lives, then I guess a computer virus can, too. It is a virus that has probably been made by some foreign worker 'cause everything else is. Not much is made in America theses days, unless you count debt and unemployment.

So, tomorrow I guess I will stay off line...just in case. It is is bade enough to have termites..let alone worms. That reminds me; One year I came home from vacation and found a snake skin under my closet door. You can bet that I opened that door very carefully. How it came to be there I don't know. Anyway, as the snake found its way in it must of fund its way out 'cause I didn't find it, much to my relief.

Still trying to capture the critter under the house. I know how it got in; through the vent opening's in the concrete block of the foundation. He is a happy
critter 'cause he stays and stays.

Tomorrow is my trip to the orthopedic surgeon. My guess is that he will release me as the therapist doesn't think my elbow will progress further. I can squeeze 45 lbs. of pressure with my left hand, but only 15 lbs. with my right. However I will continue to "work it."
