BLESS THIS HOUSE

This has been a kind of odd day...with the phone ringing and people coming to the door with trivial pursuits.  Someone wanted to buy my old Rambler which is 52 years old and is a rare classic.  People want it,but want it for "nothing."  I wish people would get serious.  Anyway, with all the interruptions I did not get much done other than go get a few groceries, and then I forgot stuff and had to make a trip back to the store.  OH, well.  I guess that is part of life...a little aggravation now and then.

Because of being slightly off track I haven't given much thought to this little blog.  One item that has me wondering is this: Facebook is not posting this missive to the main page, but to my Facebook wall, and because of this readers are falling off as they don't know where to look.  Thank you, Facebook.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me, also.  I don't know how much I will get done or if I will be able to post much, but I will spin the wheel and give it a good whirl.

GOD BLESS OUR HOME
*
GOD BLESS OUR HOME, AND HELP US
TO LOVE EACH OTHER TRUE,
TO MAKE OUR HOME A KIND OF PLACE
WHERE EVERYTHING WE DO
IS FILLED WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS
A DWELLING PLACE FOR THEE
AND HELP US GOD, EACH MOMENT
TO LIVE MOST HELPFULLY.

You know, the word LOVE is a "four letter word" that you can use often and freely and you won't get into trouble for the frequency or intent of saying it.

ACT OF LOVE
*
"O MY GOD, I LOVE YOU
 WITH ALL MY HEART
AND ABOVE ALL THINGS
WITH MY WHOLE HEART AND SOUL
BECAUSE YOU ARE THE SUPREME GOOD
AND WORTHY OF ALL MY LOVE
I LOVE MY NEIGHBOR
AS MYSELF FOR THE LOVE OF YOU
I FORGIVE ALL WHO HAVE INJURED ME
AND I ASK PARDON FROM ALL
I HAVE INJURED"
AMEN
*
This is from my little book of prayers.  There are very slight variations in the wording, but only because of region or how it was taught to us.

I have mentioned before that a stray cat has adopted my front porch.  It is a very loving, gentle boy cat so I let it inhabit its chosen space or place on the porch.  I do feed it when I see it because I hope Kat keeps the moles and mice at bay.  This afternoon while I was busy with a delivery man and left the door open...Kat sneaked into the house and made itself right at home in my best chair.  Oh No! says I! Fleas!  I think Kat thinks he owns my house.  Anyone want a nice stray cat??
