TORNADO ALLEY

Springtime is eminently upon us and so are the tornadoes that are conceived and birthed from the unstable atmospheres-the ups and downs, cold and dry, and the windy fluctuations that are common here.  The winds blow in from the prairies and all this area, the Ohio River Valley, West South..and even from where Alice lives, (Blame it on Alice!!) is known as TORNADO ALLEY.  Yes, this area did get hit with a few tornadoes.  All around, but not here.  Someday our luck will be strained, if not run out.

Something woke me up last night; I thought it was the doorbell, but it may have been the sirens going off-I don't know.  I got up and found my bucket and put it under the spot that I thought  might leak, but nothing...no leak.  I turned on the TV and all the alerts and information were up.  We didn't get anything here, but there was a touchdown in Owensboro, and also south and north of where I am.  I still don't know what woke me up, but I couldn't go back to sleep.

Locally, a couple were arrested for taping their two little ones to chairs for 10 hours and taping their mouths closed.  An off-duty detective that was working security for a apartment complex ,heard the father making threats to the little one as he walked by their door while checking the halls.  And they were wee little ones-like around two and four. And they had done the same thing to the kids the day before.   A nation is judged by how they treat their children and elderly.  Not doing so well, are we?

Supper, hot from the oven: Chicken, potatoes, celery, peppers and onions with seasonings.

Supper on the plate with some beets canned last fall.  Sorry Alice, no carbs for you!!  Mine, all mine. This was a late supper and I didn't realize how hungry I was until I took that first bite.  I only had a cup of soup for lunch.

I started some minor "spring cleaning" by cleaning a shelf over the stove and the glass canisteres on it. Being that it was/is right over the stove and I don't have a hood(old house) there was a lot of build up to scrub off.  This is how I will do spring cleaning; a little at a time.

COLD AND DAMP

The cold has kept me in and accomplishing little to nothing.  I finished off my last book and now I have nothing to read, so it will be back to the library.

The rain we had last night left it's tragic calling card.  A horse and buggy with an Amish family tried to cross a flash flooded  creek and were swept away. Four children were carried away.  They found the last one today.  You can not see a flash flood in the dark or in a heavy rain.

I had to turn the heat back on:  I expect to do this off and on for a while until Mother Nature hitches up her britches and become a little more gracious about showing us her wares.  Winter isn't quite done with us yet.

HARD RAIN

The rain is coming down really hard.
The wind is blowing hard.
It's coming down in buckets.
There is a tornado watch  for here.
There is a tornado warning for south of here.
There is a flood warning up(I am high).
My roof is leaking in three different spots.
It is a fairly new roof.
What else is new.  Dang...dang...dang...or something equivalent.

The sirens went off around 8:30, but being a pragmatist, I just kept reading my book.  What will be, will be, including a bucket full of rainwater from a leaky roof.

I had planned on going to the Family Dollar Store to see what  would be cheap and stockable, but it will be a soggy day tomorrow and more rain is on the way.  I had pulled a chicken out of the freezer to thaw out and noticed that there was room for other foods.  I will stay home instead as I don't want to get wet.

I am about half way through my third book.  When I take the books back to the library I will also take a big PDR for their sales table.  I already took one in.  I will keep my last and most up to date PDR  just in case I cut my little finger or something and need to look up a medicine or something.

Do you really know why they took Darvocet off the market?  The patent ran out.  In order to get a new patient they would have to re-formulate the chemicals of the pain killer and they have already done that...Darvon-Darvocet.  When the patients run out or the medicine can not be re-formulated, it becomes "cheap" and they can no longer make big bucks on the medication and it becomes open to produce by any Pharmaceutical Co.  Then you get graduated up to a stronger pill-like Lortab that can dominate the market for a while.  And you thought it was a bad pill...bad for business and the bottom line, me thinks.  Oh, how we get taken in by the Big Boys. Just my opinion.

Future Shock

Future Shock-that's what I got at the grocery store...or sticker shock, if you prefer, and more to come.  I went to the store to get some "Treet" which is on sale for $.98 cents a can.  It's like "Spam," but just another brand name for the same product.  A processed "meat" in a can that I keep on hand for "just in case" moments.  I am not fond of the stuff, but if ever the needs of our great society falls on tough times, I hope to tough it out.

My surprise came when I went to get the $.85 cent bread and found it had gone up to $.99 cents.  I knew that cheap bread was not of the norm and wouldn't last, but I wasn't expecting it today-not now!  Even so, I got the last two of the $.99 centers left on the shelf.  Lucky me: I almost always get the last two loves of cheap bread on the shelf.  My next encounter with inflation will be at the gas pump.  I will probably have a heart attack right there on the pavement.  So...if you see or hear where I become sick  or ill from guzzling gas, well, you will probably read about a new epidemic sweeping the country.  Call it a gas-attack or petro-phobia.  Whatever, LOL.

And now Wendy's is keeping your "maters."  So, if you want a fully dressed burger you will have to dress it yourself, shoes, socks-everything. Which is why I will plant tomatoes as soon as it is warm enough.  And this is just the start of bad news while you snooze and trust in your government. While everything is not the government's or Obama's fault, go ahead-blame them anyway.

Obama campaigned on the slogan of "Yes , (I-you-we) can," what he really intended to expound upon was "No, you can't."

I have been telling people to stock up and prepare for hard times for a long time, now.  I have said this before:  Being stocked up got me through a bad time when my arm was so badly damaged that I could not drive, let alone go to a grocery store.  It was about six months, two plates, a screw and five pins later, and a special device in the van, before I could drive again.  I tell you this because not only a bad economy can lay you low, but  a devastating injury or illness can can kick you sideways and any which way,  down the street of poverty in very short order.  I know that some of you already know this and do try to get ahead as much possible.

GO AHEAD, READ A GOOD BOOK

Nope, I didn't get much done today and I don't feel too guilty about it.  I washed cloths and am reading a book.  It turned cool so it is a book reading sort of day.  Even the new dogs next door are semi-quite.  I guess they are settling in.  Tomorrow I may actually lite a fire under myself and get a few things done.  It needs to be a big fire that will scorch my tail feathers somewhat.

I turned the TV off for the eve. at 7 PM.  There is nothing on that appeals to me.  Garbage in, garbage out.  Society pivots around the television and what we watch is what we become.  I guess that I am too picky.

Anyway, this is a very short posting, because my brain is empty-vacuumed out-with nothing substantive to say or write about.

YARD WORK

When I left the house at I:30 to go to the eye dr. this afternoon the temperature was 67 degrees and pretty overcast.  When I came out from my appointment it was pouring rain and the thermometer was dipping.  It will drop to about 32 degrees near the morning hours.  Wed. will be a better day and that is the way the mercury flows, up and down on the ol' thermostat, in the early throws of spring.

Yesterday I did manage to get out in the sun and do about three hours of garden clean up.  I have some more to do as I couldn't get a couple of plant stumps out of the ground.  The Caster Beans that I dislike so much are like little tree saplings and re-seed without any help and are more bothersome than they are worth...at least to me, anyway.
There isn't much green showing, but I did see some Rhubarb trying to poke through and some buds on the Plum tree.  A little early.  All this stuff in the yard cart can not be used for compost as it is Bermuda Grass, which is a bane to a gardener.  I can't burn the stuff in town, either. What I can do is let it compost down into a liquid form and have "Green Tea" for a later time of application.  The soil needs a lot of amendment because last spring the big tiller tilled up a lot of clay which was not very productive and did not help in holding moisture.

After an afternoon in the sun and fun and yard TLC, my everything hurt and was sore.  You would have thought I would have slept really well...and I did...because I had to take a nap after I came in!  So...it is better for an old body to take work or fun in smaller increments of labor.

Tomorrow...Tuesday, I don't have any appointments.  I can stay home, wash cloths, vacuum a little and tidy up.  I have been saving empty bread wrappers and Beverly has told me how to keep them in a neater fashion.  Beverly has lots of good ideas.

And guess what.  I have two-2-new neighbors.  Pit Bulls.  They look well cared for and they are nice looking animals.  They even have a real dog house.  However, I think they are both females and that may mean breeders.  At least they have not charged the fence looking for  a free dinner.  Anyhow, I carry a club out into the yard just in case they may think I look like an appitizer.  Salt and pepper, please, with a little katsup on the side.

HIBERNATION

Just when I thought it was safe to come forth from hibernation, Mother Nature showed a bit of her fickle side...her backside.  While Friday was a day extraordinaire, today was par for the course of mid February.  It was in the 40's and eventually found it way up to about 52 with some rain to show up overnight.  I can deal with that as I know that we are working our way up the thermometer.

I watched the new week-end weather man this eve.  He had a hard time of it, fumbling and losing his place and I heard papers probably hit the floor.  When he got through his first segment he took a really deep breath and a big swallow.  You could literly guess what he was thinking..."Thank God that is over."  When he came back on at the end of the newscast he did much better.  He might survive.  They always start the new guys out on the week-end.  They think no one watches much.  I did feel sorry for him, though.

I had turned most of my heat off, including my little oil heaters.  I did turn the furnace right back on again.  I know that I will be doing this off and on for a while.  But I try to save where I can.

Sunday is supposed to be a little warmer than this day was, so maybe I can get out and do the things I had planned to today.

It appears that people are moving in next door and that fellow is hardly out.  I am not sure what is going on there as they have been carrying boxes into the out building all afternoon.  They don't look like they are old enough to be renting, but who knows.  I have a fear that something unwanted may be "cooking" out there in short order.  It does have power and a way to heat.  Yes, I am being paranoid.  "Paranoia is heightened ," or so I have been told.

The day started out cool and a little cloudy, but then it came off beautifully in the afternoon.  A "no sweater" kind of day.  Tomorrow I hope to rake off the garden and do some housekeeping in the yard.  I suppose you would call that "yard keeping.  Lots of small twigs have blown off the trees and lots of loose trash have sailed into the yard, too.  So, there is work to be done.

I read a bog the other day where the blogger said she didn't see any rise is prices for food and goods.  She must be on the government's payroll to say nice things about the economy or have poor vision or have a fat wallet.  Mine is not so fat.  My vision, though not 20-20, can read a price tag and the government isn't all that concerned for older Americans.

I went to the store to get a Bell Pepper for a recipe I want to put into the slow cooker.  I have everything I need for Corn Chowder except a Bell Pepper.  The price tag for 1-one-single Bell Pepper was $1.49.
I did find the last loaf of Aunt Hatti's bread for $00.85 cents.  If I had gone earlier I could have had a couple more for the freezer.  One gallon of Moo Juice was $3.78 and eggs are $1.55.  The chickens are charging extra for all the pain in the a** the have to go through.  Hurts a lot, don't you know-and hurts the pocketbook, too.  So...for that blogger who says we don't have inflation...you must live on another planet, far, far away.  And as I read the news and commentaries, Alaska is really feeling the high prices.

Grief for someone

Today was a tragic day for someone.  Today a motorcyclist ran into the back of a pickup truck, and was propelled into a school bus and decapitated in front of 30 students.  The police say it was the worst thing they had ever seen and the students will have counseling tomorrow.  A motorcycle is not safe; it may be fun, but it isn't a safe machine.  I know that I have relatives that will not agree with me, but when you pull out of Wendy's and run into the back of a pickup, things are not going to end well, and didn't.  So there will be grief all the way around.

I got my appointment done and everything updated.  Maybe I can get a few things done tomorrow.  These appointments really cut into one's time.  I need time to go to the store and get my new b/p meds. and  stuff.  It has been gray all day and windy; it may rain a small amount during the night.  This area is still below normal in rain, which surprised me after the snow that we have had.

When I was coming out of Wendy's (not the same one) I had my signal lights on for a right turn, a small car slipped up on my right side and cut me off.  A little car and a big van would not be a happy marriage.  There was barely enough room for that small car to slip along side  and they had to see what they were doing.  Stupid.

This morning when I looked out my window I saw my neighbor hiding behind a tree trying to watch the guy next door moving out.  He watched the guy next door so I watched him.  Sort of a "I spy eye"kind of guy.  I have seen him watching my house at times...which is why I have self-protection.

THE DAY AFTER

The day after having my root canal my mouth feels pretty good other than the normal soreness that is normal for having such dental work done.  That will go away, too.

I walked out into the garden again to check the soil as I would like to turn it over a couple times before I get serious about planting anything.  It is still pretty soggy and we may get some rain, but that is OK.  We didn't get enough rain last year.  Also, I need to get some potting soil so I can get started on some seeds.

The world is getting stranger by the day.  Now, my neighbors that just moved in, in the fall tell me they "may move" because of sewer problems.  I think there may be other reasons than that as I accidentally opened one of their bills by mistake.  The mail carrier is always putting the wrong mail and junk mail in my box.  I think that he doesn't like to cut over and deliver it.  Anyway, they maybe having sewer issues as the landlady got fined before for a similar problems, but I think there may some unpaid bills as well as bad plumbing.  So...now there is stuff going on on both sides of me.  What else is new.

Tomorrow I go to my regular Doctor to get my prescriptions updated or renewed.  No big deal there.  I did get out to the library and to the Good will store as well.  The Good Will store has been fairly cleaned out, but at least it is clean looking and not junkie in appearance.

And that is the gist of the day.

"Drill, Baby, Drill"

I went to the dentist today and of course,  he drilled.  It wasn't as bad this time, but bad enough.  I go back March 8th.  He will take another X-Ray to see if he got it all cleared out.  I hope so.
I have had another day of mostly soup and crackers, but that will help my diet.

When I came home there was a police car sitting in front of my house with lights flashing.  It looks like the people next door(that had the dog)may be splitting up.  Anyway, he had a washer, dryer, TV. and various items in his truck and they made him take it all back in.  Another police car showed up with some papers.  So...I am guessing that the guy was taking stuff that may not have been his.  Here is what I do know:  The "girl" has had a number of men and one of them was a high school boy that "lived in" and rode a bike.  She moves in and out and can do so because it is her father's house.  Interesting rednecks.
While there isn't much else going on, I am tired.  Sitting in the dentist's char wears and stresses me out, so I think I well go to bed in short order.

sunny days ahead

Here I am, tired-sleepy again.  I think I will just have to attach myself to the bed.  Again I think it is all that super-sunshine.

Tomorrow; Tuesday, I got back to the dentist.  I hope he does not drill tomorrow because my jaw is still slightly painful-sensitive.  I hope he will wait a week.  I took the last Amoxicillin capsule today and am glad that's done.  It was starting to make me slightly nauseated and my nose itch.

I went to the Salvation Army and looked around.  All they have is junk and some nasty looking cloths and everything is over priced.  I will stop at the Good Will store after the dental appointment.  That is,  if I survive whatever is to come.  It is so painful to get Novocain in the jaw hinge/joint.

I have turned off both oil  filled heaters.  I hope to be setting the furnace back soon.  My utilities have shot up since January(thanks Obama) and now they want to raise the water rates.  Obama wants to save money on the backs of the poor, the elderly, the sick and infirm.  Maybe he could cut costs on all his flying around the country...or maybe Congress could take a pay cut, or maybe Chrysler could forgo all the big bonuses and give some of the bailout bonanza back to the people...the people who really saved the big motor companies.   By the way, when the banks and the auto companies "pay back" the government, where does that money "go?"  Not into tax reduction...no, no, no.  We are still getting taken to the outhouse and getting pooped upon.

Not much is happening other than  that, and that is enough for now.

Suns a' shining in the KY sate of affairs

I am a little tired tonight.  I guess that all that sunshine was just more than my system could absorb or a shock to my body, as OL' Sol hasn't showed his shiny face for a while.  We all know that radiation is a poison and bad for  our exterior encasement....skin...sun burn.  Furthermore, I haven't seen that golden globe in such a while that I didn't recognize it for what it was;  THE SUN!

I went to the $1.00 store this afternoon and was really surprised to see a number of empty shelves.  I knew that the shelf stable milk was not available and has not been for several weeks.  The $1.00 food bargains are disappearing except for the items that no one wants.  Still, I manage to spend about $15.00 bucks on a few items.  Everyone is looking for a bargain and the good deals are becoming more scarce.

Food and Angels

I'm tired of staying cooped up like an old chicken scratching around trying to decide what I want to eat other than what I can scratch up...other than soup, soup and more diet-type foods.  I wanted to get out among live humanity in spite of my hermit tendencies.  So...I paid a visit to one of my favorite places; the New China Restaurant.  Even so, I stuck to a diet friendly repast; easy on the carbs, milk instead of soda, and no desert.  I love sauteed mushrooms and shrimp so I did go back for small seconds.  Yes, it was all good and I get a senior discount 'cause I am silvery on top.  There was a time I  was asked if I were a senior citizen, but not anymore!  Lots of laughs on that!  Too many silver threads.

I am nippin' and snippin' my hair again...very carefully.  It is looking much better and I am slowly  getting it evened up and more presentable.  As the weather becomes more amiable I will start going back to the beauty shop and letting HER take big chunks out of my hair.  Sometimes she doesn' do much better than I did!

Sleeping In Inn

This picture is from two years ago when I had a bumper crop, but the man who was helping me got most of it.  It was the spring of the year that I did such a lovely job on my arm/elbow.

I got up early because I woke up early, but then I went back to bed...just to get warm.  Generally the house is not too cold, but it was minus 2 degrees this morning.  Just across the river it was 8 degrees. The fellow  on the radio argued that he thought it was even colder than that, but they get their stats from the airport and have to go by the official temps.  I am looking forward to the week-end, awaiting the "warming."  I may even try to start some seeds.  If I do start some seeds I will probably start with some Banana Peppers.  I also love all kinds of radishes. We still have half of Feb. and all of March to get through, unless we have an early spring...and who can count on that.

I need to order an new carburetor for my Troy Tiller.  I bought the tiller in 1982 so it is vintage.  I had sent it to the garden center for a tune up and it was finally returned about three months later...after a hassle and a few threats...minus the carburetor.   Duh, where did it go...Duh, where did it go?  Probably on someone else's  tiller.  I looked at new tillers, but they are really pricy, so a new tiller is out of the question.  So...that is that.

3 Degrees and Falling

Cold.  It is down to 3 degrees as I write and getting colder.  It has been snowing most of the day, very fine, dry snow, therefore not a lot of accumulation.  I didn't go out.  I have no books to read.  I got out my Ball Canning book and my Stocking Up book and flipped througth those for awhile.  I am getting tired of being stuck inside all the time.

It's a hot chocolate kind of day.  Bitter cold, confining and cabin fever kind of day.  So, I had a cup of hot chocolate with  marshmallows.  Not something I should have while trying to diet, but what the heck.

The Mayans discovered  chocolate about 2.000 years ago and were pretty addicted to the drink by about 1400.  Then it was imported to Europe where it became popular.  It was prepared differently than what we are used to the drinking.  It was even used for medicinal purposes and for stomach distress.  Today the Europeans like their chocolatee a lot thicker than we do and a little more on the bitter side.

The phone has been quiet all day since I got a private number.  I am not hopping up and down to answer the phone all the time.  Peace is a treasure.

As there is not a lot going on and a whole lot to do, I will keep this short.

Spring...not

The temperature is already down to 18 F. and it isn't even 9 PM.  Also. we are supposed to get more snow.  Who wants that....?  Not me.  I saw a Robin the other day, but spring it is not.

The other day while I was out I stopped by the Dollar Store  store and bought a package of child size tooth brushes.  I couldn't get my jaws open and the small brushes served me well.  They are frail little brushes made for small, delicate hands.  I will get some more as they are three for a dollar and they reach in better than a regular tooth brush.  They are worth having on hand.

I went out long enough to take the trash out to the alley for pick-up.  I came right back in.  I went out without a jacket.

I had to change my phone number again because "you know who" got my new number from AT&T.  Because she works for a monument Co. and sell grave stones, they readily gave her the number, probably using the business to get the number.  I promptly called the phone Co. and changed it again.  This time it is a private number.  She is a a type of stalker in that she is a telephone pest.  Next, she will be pounding on the door.  "Get a life," says I.  I am quite content to be a hermit and not be bothered by the world in general.

I had intended to go to the library this afternoon, but when I felt the cold I changed my mind and stayed in by the furnace.

WHAT A DIFFERENC A DAY MAKES

What a difference a day makes or....or two or three.  Which means that the Amoxcillin is kicking in.  I still have a lump on my left jaw, but most of the pain is gone.
It rained last night, snowed most of the day, melted off some and now it is refreezing.  It is predicted to snow tomorrow and then have a good week-end.  I am all for a good week-end for a change.

I bought two pizzas yesterday.  I can eat soft food, rice and soups.  I was hungry so I bought two pizzas, one to eat and one to go into the freezer.

I just don't have anything to write out.  When the weather is bad there is little to do and there is nothing going on .

THE PALE RIDER, the harbinger of death, was caught was caught on tape in the Egyption riots and posted on UTUBE, seen on CNN and several news shows.  I looked at it several times.  You may find it on UTUBE, but I can't tell you exactly where to find it.  Type in Pale Rider in your search box and it may come up.

PROGRESSING

I now have a neck, at least on the left side, anyway. I am starting to look more human.  I still have a lump on the left lower jaw, but that is getting better too.  Where I looked like I had four chins, it now looks more like three chins.  .So...that is making progress.

Today I cooked a pot of rice in the pressure cooker.  I used a 1/2 can of left-over tomato soup and a couple cutlets.  They all cooked in about six minutes and turned out pretty good.  I have eaten a good share of it and then some.

Last week I forgot to weigh myself.  I "weighed in" this morning.  I guess I lost about three pounds, mainly because I couldn't eat.  I hope that all that rice I ate doesn't put the pounds right back on.

It is colder here than it is in NY State and we are supposed to have rain tomorrow, with  possibly getting rain, ice, or snow on Monday.  Mother Nature is having a fine fling with Old Man Winter.  They are a lusty couple, they are. I hope the two of them get over their amorous ways soon.  Mother Nature is busy spawning and spinning-we just don't care for what she is delivering.

I read two books in two days. Now I have nothing to read.  I need to go back to the library and stock up on books.

I got myself out to the bank and deposited my pension check.  The teller was supposed to give me $62.00 dollars back for gas and incidentals, but she shorted me $30.00 dollars.  I had to come back around to the window to get my money.  I don't know if it was by accident or by design, I need my money worse than the bank does.

As I was out already I stopped by Captain D's and got a pint of Gumbo.  It is soft and I don't have to chew it.  I ate the whole pint.  My face looks a little better, but it is still hard to swallow, esp. in the morning.

The Dog is gone.  I noticed yesterday that it wasn't barking.  It  barked all night the other night when the temperature dropped down to two degrees and the wind was blowing hard.  I don't know where the dog went or what happened to it.  I do know that animal control has been there twice and have done nothing for it.

I am going to bed soon.  The medicine makes want to sleep a lot.

Another day of soup, but the swelling in my face is a little  less and my jaw and  teeth are a little less painful.  I still can't open my mouth very wide, but I did manage some toast this afternoon.  What I really want is a nice tender steak. All good things are worth waiting for.

Kentucky was right on the edge of the winter blizzard that passed through yesterday.  All we got was some flurries and some fine pellet-like snow.  Behind that came the cold and wind.  We got off lucky.  It is supposed to snow on Monday.  I hope to get out tomorrow in spite of my fat face and get a couple things done that need to be attended to.

I have been drinking a lot of milk this week, to buffer all that mede
icine I have been taking.  I need more milk and a couple of other things to make life more pleasant.

I haven't done much this past week.  I didn't even get the trash out to the alley for pick-up.  It is sitting on the back porch waiting to be carried out to the fence.  Unless that bag grows legs it will habitat right where it is until next Wed.  It is a good thing it isn't stinky stuff.

Even though my face is no longer the size of a baseball(now like a golf ball) I am still not up to par; this is another  short post.

MISH-MASH SOUP

Because I can my hardly open my mouth...let alone chew, I have been eating soup for several days.  This afternoon I made a mish-mash soup, using up some left-overs in the refrigerator.  I had some left-over tomato soup, added, diced onions, diced up boneless pork cutlets, a little instant potatoes, and a quarter brick of Munster cheese.  I let it simmer for a while while I did the dishes that I had  neglected for the past days.  Either it was really good or I was really hungry; perhaps both.  I did go back for a second cup of soup.

Don't answer the phone.  I have been getting phone calls saying that they needed information on "someone you know," but they can't "give out information" over the phone and to please call back a certain number they give out.  As I have a new number and no one has it, I know it is no one I "know."  Also, it is a recording and I have received several of the same recorded calls, word for word. I think it is called "slamming" and you wind up with a huge phone bill.  It is an old scam that has been around for years.  DON'T CALL BACK!
I have taken a lot of pain medicine these past few days.  I don't like it.  Anytime  put a foreign  chemical substance into your system you will have some type of reaction, be it good or be it bad.   Lortab makes me dizzy and doesn't help pain by much.  Darvocet, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen are making me semi-sick.  Old fashioned Aspirin seem to help me the most.   It is a reliable pain killer and anti-inflammatory agent, as well.  Some of the swelling in my face is going down...down into my neck, that is.  Now I look like I have a bad case of mumps as well as fat face.

I give up.  The computer is doing goofy things, over and over.  So...I quit.

Abscess

I'm not posting much this eve., either.  I went to the  dentist today.  I have a pretty good abscess.  You should see my face.  It looks like a squirrel with a cheek full of nuts on the left side.  I have swelling on the left side and neck.  It looks like I have a fourth chin and then some.  I have a new order for Amoxicillion and Lortab. It hurts worse than a broken arm, I think.  I can hardly open my mouth and swallowing is painful.

I am going to bed early as I didn't sleep well last night.  Lortab isn't all that it is cracked up to be, either.  So, good night and maybe the medicines will kick in.
