A Sale-ing I will go

I haven't written much about sales or stocking up lately.  There just haven't been many great bargains or sales, but today was a jackpot day for me.

1. 24 cans of soup-2 for $1.00
2. 4 cans of Pork & Beans-2 for $1.00
3. 4 cans of WIC Tuna-2 for $1.00
4. 5 cans reg. soup-78 cents a can.
5. 2 packs of cookies for 99 cents each.

I also bought bathroom tissue which wasn't on sale, but needed.  Plus I bought a few other items that were not on sale, but I felt I needed, as well.

The soup was such a good deal that I will probably go back for more before the end of the week.  I need to stock up on TP, but am looking for a decent sale.  When it gets cold out I will be in.  If the winter is any thing like this summer has been, then we are in for it.

Yesterday I managed to get the back and front yard mowed with only a few twinges of old age.  It looks a lot better as I mowed it down really short.  Now, if I can work up the steam to trim it tomorrow.

The poem is from a book that was printed before the Civil War.  It is a little bit stilted and a little prejudiced so I did change a word here and there.  The author is unknown.
