SHOP-AHOLIC
I am still shopping and looking for bargains. I went back to the store and bought another 20 cans of mixed varieties of soup. I guess that gives me about 50 cans of soup so I think I have enough soup for the coming winter. I got two more large jugs of detergent for the washing machine along with some tomato puree for the pantry. You might think it is early too "stock up," but I can only carry so much at a time and I want to be ready for winter when it comes singing along on a Canadian song. Remember that song, AUTUMN LEAVES ? Some of the leaves are dropping and some are turning brown. It is almost September...time to consider that fall is upon us and that winter won't be far behind. You will not get me out shopping on the ice and snow, mostly because I am a coward and don't want to fall down and hurt my little self.
I did go to the Farmer's Market. I didn't buy much; just a couple of really nice tomatoes, a couple of nice green peppers and a small container of honey. The tomatoes are almost fruit-like in their sweetness. They are the best tomatoes I have ever had, not even from my own gardens of the past.
I was going to write about prayer and/or meditating, but both are complex subjects and-or practices. Neither are simple. I guess that is why most people don't put much effort into meditation or prayer. Prayer is a more commonly accepted practice, but not often talked about in depth, even by the clergy. Both are in the realm of mystery. I will think about it and may yet make an attempt to muse upon it within this blog.
Let tomorrow...Sunday...be a day of rest and renewal for all.
END
