THE PLEASURE OF GOD

It is bitter cold as I write tonight.  Church was warm during Mass, but for the Exposition it became much colder and most people left.  I stayed for the whole time, but literaly had to sit on my hands to keep them warm.  What is a little discomfort compared to being crucified and dying on a cross?  Christ "stuck it out," and so did we that decided to stay and pray.

 YOU CREATED
EVERYTHING
AND IT IS FOR YOUR
PLEASURE
THAT THEY EXIST
AND WERE CREATED
Revelation 4: 11

Thus was the lesson of the day; that we exist for God's pleasure, and that THE LORD TAKES PLEASURE IN HIS PEOPLE: Psalm 149.  We were created by Him to give Him pleasure, homage and glory.

Sometimes we give very little of what God expects of us in our daily lives...or the affairs of society and man.  We expect much for ourselves, but render very small amounts of what God has made us for.  Did you make someone happy, smile or give true pleasure in a Christian way?  If you did, you also gave worship to God, for Christ did say "whatsoever you do unto the least of my brothers, that you do unto me."

Right now, we are a country adrift, without a rudder or a star to steer by, and our ship has a few holes in its keel.  Pray for all the leader of every country, to work for the of pleasure of God and not for themselves.
