Good Books

I just finished a really good book entitled TAKING 1960 by  Rosa Sophia.  It has all the elements of a well written book; drama, mystery, paranormal intrigue, romance, science fiction, philosophy, theology, murder-you name it.  Get the book-you will not put it down.  I didn't.

I went to the BIG SALE this afternoon.  I didn't really buy a lot.  I did get three half gallon jugs of milk for $5.00.  That figures out to about 84 cents a qt.  You can't do much better than that on milk.  I put one jug in the freezer, one in the refrigerator and the buttermilk I opened up as soon as I got home.  I love buttermilk.  My mother used to make the very best home made buttermilk which can not be found in any dairy case.

I also got Kraft Mayonnaise for two jars for $4.00, bread for 99 cents, hot dogs for 78 cents, corn meal flour for 99 cents  and Pork & Beans  two for a buck.  I didn't really go overboard.  I spent just over $25.00.  No more sales for a while.

You got some good sales indeed. The cheapest we ever see hot dogs here is $1 a package. And they are not very good but will fill a hole when you are hungry.
