THE WISDOM BOOKS

Happy the man who finds wisdom,
the man who finds understanding;
For her profit is worth more than profit in silver,
 and better than gold is her revenue;
She is more precious than corals
and none of your choice possessions
can compare with her.

The books of Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Sirach,and Wisdom contain the Sapiential literature of the Old Testament.  If you have read any of these books, than you know that they contain a good life map for leading a sound, spiritual life, to be found there, within the Wisdom books.  We all need wisdom; all we can get, for the road of life is full of pot holes,  misleading stops and turns as we travel along.  Don't underestimate the Books of Wisdom or the Proverbs.  Also, a caution...do not think that these books, as inspirational as they are, can substitute for THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

The Wisdom literature's of the Bible were compiled by the sages who recorded the best compositions of their neighbors and of their own personal observations and experiences.
There are other books that are included in the books  of Wisdom, .  I have not listed all of them.  If you can, read Proverbs and the Wisdom books of the Old Testament.  They are timeless.

What I write here is simple and basic, without a lot of references or quotations, biblical or otherwise.  It is up to you to find and follow your path and know from whence you came and where  or whom you wish to follow.  I hope it will be the true Christ, The King of Kings.

What I have found as I get older, is that wisdom does come with aging and is also dependent on how open and receptive you are.  It doesn't always come easy; nothing of great value seldom comes cheaply.  Do I miss my cues and show a lack of wisdom and discernment at times?  Sure I do.  Life is all about progressing and a learning experience.  Think of it as the REAL COLLEAGUE OF LIFE EXPERIENCES  from the University of Wisdom.  Hopefully, we will all get a PHD in spirituality.
