GOT A FEW GOOD ROCKS?

THE ALL-SEEING GOD

ALMIGHTY GOD: YOUR PIERCING EYE
STRIKES THROUGH THE DARK OF NIGHT
AND OUR MOST SECRET ACTIONS LIE
ALL OPEN TO YOUR SIGHT

THERE'S NOT A SIN THAT WE COMMIT
NOR WICKED  WORD WE SAY
BUT IN YOUR DREADFUL BOOK IT'S WRIT
AGAINST THE JUDGEMENT DAY

AND MUST THE SINS I HAVE DONE
BE READ AND PUBLISHED THERE?
BE ALL EXPOSED BEFORE THE SUN
WHILE MEN AND ANGELS HEAR?

LORD, AT YOUR FEET ASHAMED, I LIE
YOUR FACE, I DARE NOT LOOK
PARDON MY SINS BEFORE I DIE
AND BLOT THEM FROM THE BOOK

REMEMBER ALL THE DYING PAINS
THAT MY REDEEMER FELT
LET HIS BLOOD WASH OUT THE STAIN
AND ANSWER FOR MY GUILT

by Dr. Watts.

It seems hard for many to define sin these days or to acknowledgedge the presence of sin or the act of sin.  We live in a "modern" world where all behavior, good, bad or otherwise, is often considered the norm or acceptable unless it is a condition or action so abhorrent that even hard core miscreants take notice.  For instance, we are horrified when a parent or criminal kills a child, but in the next breath abortion is defended as a right or pro choice.  Where in any Bible does it say that...or anything remotely codone any kind of murder?  Remember this Commandment:

THOU SHALT NOT KILL

It has always been my contention that if a person is able and does follow The Ten Commandments, then that person is well on the road to salvation and sanctity.  Remember that a house built on sand will collapse.  Your personal house must have a solid  foundation and thus faith and the New Testament are your rock.  Got some hefty, well difined stones handy?  Is it hard to live and work in The Spirit of Christ in our "enlightened" society?  You bet it is and I am the first to admit that that I am far from perfect, but...I keep trying.  READ LUKE;  all of it if you can.

The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting much cooler, and it won't be long before it is time to set the clocks back.  The coming week is supposed to be nice, fall weather.  I did get my hair cut; all my silver locks  were on the floor to be swept up and forgotten...for now.
