WE TRAVEL TOGETHER
MY BIBLE AND I
DOWN THE TRAILS OF RAINBOWS
AS THE DAYS GO BY

I NEED YOUR SWEET FRIENDSHIP
YOUR MESSAGE OF LOVE
PAINTING THE PATHWAYS
TO THE BEAUTIES ABOVE

MAY THE LIGHT OF THE SPIRIT
YOUR PAGES UNFOLD
AND DAILY REVEAL
YOUR TREASURES OF GOLD

OH, WHITE LIGHT OF PROMISE
TO YOU I'LL BE TRUE
AND YOUR TEACHINGS

Have you ever chased after a rainbow or a dream?  We all do.  I guess we might better call it a goal or even many goals in and of life.  We need to set forth goals or high hurdles to attain or conquer.  Be it a small dream or a little endeavor to achieve, it is what sets us apart from being just another biological unite on the planet earth.  For we are made in the image of God and given the spirit or soul which to be molded.  Granted, not all of us are just alike...you would think we were as we are made in His image...but we are endowed with certain spiritual gifts...even the least of us, to grow, nurture and bear fruit.  Love is the fruit of the tree, as Christ so often tells us in the parables of the gospels in the New Testament, and are written of in the Epistle letters to the new church...the followers of Christ.

LOVE MUST BE SINCERE,
HATE WHAT IS EVIL;
CLING TO WHAT IS GOOD.

ROMANS 12:9
***
ABOVE ALL, LOVE EACH OTHER
DEEPLY BECAUSE LOVE
COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS.

PETER 4:8
***
WHOSOEVER DOES NOT LOVE
DOES NOT KNOW GOD,
BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE

1 JOHN 4:8
***
JESUS SAID TO HIM,
THOU SHALT LOVE
THE LORD THY GOD
WITH THY WHOLE HEAT,
AND WITH THEY WHOLE SOUL
ND WITH THY WHOLE MIND.
THIS IS THE GREATEST
AND THE FIRST COMMANDMENT.

My bible is starting to show some ware and tear.  That isn't too surprising as it is a good 50 years old now.  But I have a Bible and the freedom to get a new one should this one wear out.  I am keeping in mind that some of the readers of this blog do not have Bibles or the means to acquire one or even the right to read one or to pray.  We are so blessed in America...lets pray that we keep it that way.

I spent part of the day in bed "resting."  I finally broke down and took a pain pill and am feeling some relief.  As I mentioned to someone on FB, if misery makes you stronger, then I should have some mighty muscles.  All things considered, there are so many that truly suffer, that I consider a slipped disk an annoyance...a bump in the road.  "Better and better every day, better and better in every way,"
