BIG DiNNER-EVENT

THE BIG DINNER-EVENT

This picture is dark, but it is one of the large dining area with all the tables.
Another picture of the dinning area.

Last, but not lest, the center of the dinning area.

Here, below, is Carla, in blue, present DON at the home, with Waa, David on the far right, and Carla's husband to her right.

This is Waa. She started working at the home when she was about 15 as a pantry aid, then became a cook in the kitchen. She now works in the Post Office.

Here is Sister Therese, the present administrator. She stayed on her feet for hours.

Here, below, is Peggy, former DON, retired, but still very active in the works of the home. That is her daughter standing by her.

Here, below, are Sister Clare, visiting from Louisville, in the middle is Sister Madeline, and on the end is Sister Anna, also an administrator, and assists Sister Therese.
The same three Sister except for Sister Catherine who is looking away. Sister Catherine has a beautiful voice, plays the organ and takes care of the sacristy and alter at the home.

Below, drinking coffee, is Sherry, Debbie's sister and Brother Hugh. Sherry teaches school and Brother is at the home often , making cookies and visiting his mother in the home.
This is a shot of Debbie. Debbie came to my rescue when I hurt my arm.

So. the dinner consisted of all kinds of appetizers, a salad, roast pork and stir fry. Dessert was really rich cheesecake. There was two bottles of wine on each table and a bar for those that wanted something stronger. I didn't see many people visiting the bar though. I ran into trouble on that second cheesecake...way too rich. I discovered that candied walnuts are pretty good and wished there were more on the salad plate. I am a glutton for yummy stuff. It was a nice night out and I slept pretty well into the next day...not from wine...I didn't drink any.

HOW MANIFOLD ARE YOUR WORKS, O LORD
IN WISDOM YOU HAVE WROUGHT THEM ALL
THE EARTH IS FULL OF YOUR CREATURES
THE SEA ALSO, GREAT AND WIDE
FOR WHICH THERE ARE SCHOOLS WITHOUT NUMBER
OF LIVING THINGS, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT
