PEOPLE OF THE EARTH, THAT WE ARE

The day started out sunny, but became gray, rainy and cold.  When I went into church is was nice out, but when I came out it had become chilly and windy.  Well, I guess I should have worn a jacket!

There isn't much going on so there isn't much to post.  I had intended to go shopping for milk and bread and a couple other items, but came home to warmth and comfort instead.  Boy, am I a wimp!

This is pretty much how it will be now that the weather has turned colder.  BTW, the weather man said that we have had 13 days of below normal temperatures.  What happened to global warming?  Actually, it is supposed to get nicer for a few days and I am ready for sunshine, but not hot days.  Some of us just can't be pleased!

THE LORD

FROM THE EARTH

CREATED MAN,

IN HIS OWN IMAGE

HE MADE HIM.

LIMITED DAYS

OF LIFE HE GIVES

HIM

AND MAKES HIM

RETURN TO THE

EARTH AGAIN.

 

Sirach 17: vs.1-2

 

I'll bet you didn't know that you were made out of plain old dirt.  Well, call yourself a Mud Man, Mud Woman, Muddy Child or what ever.  You are the stuff of the universe, so simple, yet so complex.  You were made by God for God.  You are composed of the stuff of stars, fire and earth, by the will of God for His own purpose.  Ch. 17 is something of a recipe of all the ingredients that God whipped up and endowed us, His creations, with; a mud cake that only He could bake.  Such a puzzlement we are to one another, but so elegant in design and love, and to be loved.   Please read some of Ch. 17 of Sirach.  You might like knowing just how unique, rare, and valuable you actually are to the God who made you...all of us, from the elements of earth that He also created in the infinite span of time.
